THE LOOK-OUT HILL

Look out hill is one of the highest hills in the area, offering spectacular panoramic views of the township below and Table Mountain in a distance. In close vicinity, is a craft market, a science center and a restaurant.

Go swimming with the locals at Monwabisi beach. Monwabisi is a Xhosa word meaning “bring joy”, to which many Monwabisi beach goers will attest. The beach features the largest tidal man made swimming pool in the southern hemisphere. Monwabisi also has a coastal resort, catering exclusively for the residents of Khayelitsha and neighboring townships.
